VACANT is a series of photographs that combine cinematic narrative with the strange and uncanny. The images resemble moments in a film, capturing small glimpses of larger tales that both hides and hints at the presence of disturbing events. The voyeuristic camera captures the apparently solitary woman in strange and vulnerable states of mind, her identity and intentions are deliberately shrouded in mystery to mimic the ambiguity of the art film that denies the viewer any real explanation. VACANT explores the visceral and psychological, presenting the uncanny as a quieter form of horror.
